Today's word is anemoia: nostalgia for a time you never experienced. It's a feeling young people can relate to right now, especially Gen Z, many of whom are craving the analog, smart phone-free eras you and I remember so well. They're taking up granny hobbies and listening to vinyl records. And, they're looking for role models who actually lived through the device-free decades they see on social media.
If you're helping young people connect to simpler days this summer, we're here for it. Introduce them to a friend you made at a VPAS Cafe. Invite them to ride along on a meals on wheels route. Bring them to a Pickers and Singers concert. Teach them your line dancing moves.
