Custodial Specialist

VPAS is accepting interested applicants for a part time Custodial Specialist in VPAS’ Waynesboro office.

DAYS/HOURS: One day a week, agreeable to both the applicant and VPAS, for 8 hours

WORKSITE: VPAS, 325 Pine Ave., Waynesboro VA 22980

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESThe Custodial Specialist cleans the Waynesboro Corporate offices, Conference Room, Waynesboro Café, and all common areas on a weekly basis so they are presentable for staff, volunteers, members, and visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates must have reliable transportation to the worksite, ability to interact with staff and the public in a professional manner, and good time management skills.

Team Support Specialist

VPAS is accepting applications for a part-time Team Support Specialist position in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham region to support our Meals on Wheels (MOW) and transportation programs

DAYS/HOURS: This position is needed Monday - Friday, 6 hours hours each day, for a total of no more than 30 hours per week.

WORKSITE:  VPAS, 975 S. High Street, Harrisonburg

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position provides support for VPAS transportation program, providing transportation to medical appointments, and other community destinations. They may also provide support for VPAS nutrition programs by picking up meals at A Bowl of Good, transporting meals to MOW volunteer pick up locations, delivering assigned MOW routes, and delivering frozen meals.  The position is responsible for conducting itemized vehicle checks on VPAS vehicles prior to driving them. The full position description is attached.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Successful candidates must have excellent driving skills, customer service, communication, organization and time management skills; and be able to work independently and as part of a team.  Attention to detail, compliance with confidentiality rules, and sensitivity in working with vulnerable populations are required.  Must also be able to lift and carry boxes up to 30 pounds.
